Privacy Policy
This site publishes casino research and links out to operators. It does not run a casino, take registrations or handle money, which makes this a short document: what a web server records when a page is served, the one flag the storage notice keeps in your browser, and what changes the moment a link takes you somewhere else.
What this policy covers
This is an editorial comparison site. It publishes research about casino operators that accept players from the United States, and it links out to those operators. There is nothing here to register for, log into or pay for, and reading a page does not create an account of any kind.
Stating the limit of this document is more useful than listing categories of data that do not apply to it. It describes how data is handled while you are reading these pages. It does not describe, and cannot govern, what a casino operator does once you follow a link and leave: each of those companies is a separate business with its own privacy policy, and that policy is the one that applies to your account there.
What a web server records
Serving a page leaves a record. That is true of every website rather than a decision taken here, so the useful thing is to say what the record contains. A request for a page on this site carries, and hosting infrastructure logs, roughly the following.
- The IP address the request came from
- The browser and operating system the browser reports about itself
- The address of the page requested, and the page that linked to it when the browser sends one
- The date and time of the request, and whether it succeeded
Records of that kind exist so pages can be delivered, so errors and outages can be diagnosed, and so abusive traffic can be blocked. They are not used to build a profile of a reader, and they are not combined with anything else to work out who somebody is. Nothing on this site asks for a name, an email address, a postal address or a phone number, so there is no reader identity here for a log line to be attached to.
Cookies and browser storage
A notice about storage appears the first time you open the site, and what it stores is small enough to describe exactly.
When you dismiss that notice, a single flag is written to your browser’s local storage under the key youbett-poker-cookie-consent, so the notice does not appear again on the next page. The value is a marker and nothing more: it holds no identifier, no reading history and nothing that describes you. It is readable only by this site, inside your own browser, and clearing your browsing data removes it, after which the notice shows once more.
Optional analytics, of the kind the notice mentions, is limited to counting how many people read which pages, and it informs what gets written next. It is not used to identify an individual reader and it is not used to follow anybody across other websites. No advertising cookies are set by this site, and nothing collected here is sold or passed to a data broker.
Affiliate links to casino operators
The comparison pages link to casino operators, and this site may earn a commission when a reader visits an operator through one of those links. That is disclosed on the pages that carry them, in the wording this site uses throughout: we may earn a commission when you visit an operator through links on the page, and it does not change the order of the supplied comparison list.
The part of that which belongs in a privacy policy is how such a link works. A commission link is a tracking link: following it tells the operator, or the affiliate network running the programme on the operator’s behalf, that the visit arrived from this site. That referral signal is the whole of what the arrangement transmits. No name, no email address and no reading history travels with it, because none of those exists here to send.
Everything after the click belongs to the operator. Its site sets its own cookies, keeps its own logs, and collects the details it needs if you go on to register. From that point its privacy policy and its terms are the documents that apply, and both are worth reading before registering rather than after.
No payments and no accounts here
No payment details are collected on this site, and that is structural rather than a promise. There is no cashier, no checkout, no registration form and no account, so there is no card number, bank detail, wallet address or identity document for this site to receive, store or lose.
Deposits, withdrawals and identity verification all happen on an operator’s own site, inside that operator’s own systems and under its own policy. What our banking guide describes is how those systems behave, not anything this site handles on your behalf.
Links that earn nothing
Not every outbound link is commercial. These pages cite the first-party material an operator entry is built from, and they point to help that has no commercial relationship with this site at all: the responsible gambling page links to the National Council on Problem Gambling’s help and treatment page, a US non-profit and not a partner of any kind.
A link of that sort earns nothing and carries no tracking added here. The same limit still applies once it is followed: the site at the other end is run by somebody else, and its own practice governs what it records. This policy reaches as far as the pages it is published on, and no further.
Age
These pages are written for adults of legal gambling age. This site carries a 21+ age mark, its material is not directed at anyone younger, and no information is knowingly collected from a minor.
Gambling can be addictive. The responsible gambling page sets out the recognised warning signs, the account controls that genuinely limit play, and where free confidential help can be reached in the United States at any hour of any day.
Changes to this policy
The date at the head of this page is the date this text last changed, not the date a page elsewhere on the site was last reviewed. A change in how data is handled here is a change to this document, so the two move together, and the date is what says when.
